Is your Tumblr blog being indexed by search engines?
You might want to double check that your tumblr blog is being indexed by search engines. In the advanced theme settings, there are three checkboxes asking you if:
- You want search engines to index your blog
- You want to ping the blogosphere
- You wan to be promotoed on Tumblr.com
I haven’t seen these before so I don’t know if they are new additions, all I know is that mine were unchecked? I can not imagine why I would not have these enabled, so I can only assume they are unchecked by default (which seems silly).
To get to these settings you have to log in to Tumblr account, go to your tumblr page (not the dashboard) and click customize. Select ‘Advanced’, scroll down and you will see these boxes under ‘Directory’.
